Although it hasn’t been around as long as other nameplates on the Honda lineup, the Odyssey has established quite the reputation for itself in the quarter-century it has been around. Having been introduced for the 1995 model year, the Honda Odyssey has undergone five generational shifts, and now the 2021 Honda Odyssey receives a mid-generation refresh three years into its fifth generation. We’re stoked to be able to offer this enhanced version of the iconic minivan right here in Lima OH, as it makes a great option for growing families and other drivers who need plenty of space for passengers and cargo alike.
We might not see as many different kinds of minivans on the road as we used to, but those that remain are certainly some of the best options that have ever been made available in the segment. For the 2021 model year, the Honda Odyssey gets even more stylish and introduces some new technology to the mix that has never been seen in the automotive industry before.
Starting with that design update, the 2021 Odyssey features new design cues both inside and out. On the front end of the minivan, the grille, bumper and lighting have all been redesigned to offer a fresh take, while a new black trim has been added under the rear window to make it even bolder than previous iterations.
On the inside, the second-row Magic Slide seats have been enhanced to fold nearly flat, adding even more versatility to the interior. Certain trim levels also receive new design cues, like redesigned seats and tri-color floor mats in the EX, contrast stitching in the EX-L, piano black trim throughout the Touring and Elite and even more luxurious upgrades for the Elite.
Plenty else has been added throughout the vehicle, like power lumbar support in the front passenger seat on the EX-L trim level, and new technologies for the Honda Sensing package like Low-Speed Follow, Pedestrian Emergency Braking and Traffic Sign Recognition. But the most exciting upgrade is the addition of a new Rear Seat Reminder system, which helps you remember pets or children in the back seat. For the first time in the industry, Honda has integrated it into its CabinWatch feature, which enables the system to showcase the in-cabin camera in addition to alerts.
