Fresh off its major mid-generation facelift for the 2020 model year, which introduced the CR-V Hybrid, very little needed to be changed or enhanced for the new model year in the 2021 Honda CR-V. Even still, there’s plenty to get excited about with the iconic compact crossover, like its versatile utility, incredible safety technologies and impressive powertrain options. Available here in Lima OH, the CR-V continues to make an excellent option in its segment, as it has since it was first introduced all the way back in 1995.
Without going into the CR-V Hybrid, which will have its own dedicated page, we thought we’d start by diving into the powertrain available in the 2021 Honda CR-V. A 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine underpins the CR-V in every trim level. It’s capable of generating 190 horsepower alongside 179 pound-feet of torque, while achieving 28 miles per gallon through the city and 34 mpg on the highway for a combined 30 mpg when equipped with the two-wheel drive system, or 27/32/29 mpg with the AWD.*
The CR-V might not be as large as the Honda Pilot, but it’s every bit as versatile thanks to its abundant cargo space which can be adapted to meet your passenger/cargo needs, thanks to its 60/40 split-folding rear seats and more. But cargo isn’t the only aspect of the interior cabin that’s exciting for any drive, as it also come standard with Honda Sensing.
The suite of advanced driver-assistive safety technologies includes features like Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departer Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist System among other great technologies. If you think the 2021 CR-V might be the right vehicle for you, be sure to reach out to us right here at White’s Honda Lima.
