The Honda CR-V is without a doubt the most iconic member of the Honda utility vehicle lineup. Last year marked its 25th year on the market, meaning it’s been around for a quarter-century. That’s quite the feat, and we’re stoked to see its continued success, as it’s shown no sign of slowing down anytime soon. In fact, it’s only expanding what it has to offer in addition to continuing to build its reputation, as the 2020 model year saw the addition of the CR-V Hybrid. Now, the more fuel-efficient variant of the iconic compact crossover, the 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid, is available right here in Lima OH!
Now in its sophomore year as a vehicle, not much needed to change for the CR-Hybrid leading into 2021. The CR-V Hybrid offers everything that shoppers and enthusiasts have come to expect from the iconic CR-V nameplate with the added benefit of its hybrid powertrain. Combining a 2.0L Atkinson-cycle engine with both an electric motor and the e-CVT transmission system, the CR-V Hybrid is able to generate up to 212 horsepower alongside 232 pound-feet of torque.
That means that it’s not only more efficient than its gas-powered counterpart, but also more powerful! Speaking of efficiency, the CR-V Hybrid manages to achieve impressive fuel economy ratings, as one might expect. The compact hybrid crossover gets 40 miles to the gallon when driving through the city, or 35 mpg when hopping onto the highway, for a combined average of 38 mpg*.
In addition to its improved performance and efficiency, the CR-V Hybrid is packed full of the same great content and versatility that the traditional CR-V has to offer. It includes the full Honda Sensing safety suite plus a host of other great features and technologies, and even a few bonuses not found on the other CR-V models, like its Power Flow Monitor.
