Although the Honda Accord – one of the most iconic models on the Honda lineup – was just redesigned as it entered its tenth generation a couple of years ago in 2018, the midsize sedan was refreshed again for the 2021 model year before arriving here in Lima OH. Available as either a traditional sedan or a hybrid model, the 2021 Accord offers more value than ever thanks to its updated style and enhanced offering of features. It makes an excellent option for any car shopper looking to at the midsize sedan segment.
A majority of the changes that the 2021 Honda Accord underwent before arriving here in Ohio had to do with style. Its grille was updated to provide a more sophisticated first glance, plus the radar unit for the vehicle’s Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver-assistive safety features has been better integrated into it. Certain trim levels have new lamps and wheels and more.
In addition to stylistic enhancements, a few new features have been added, while several others have shifted. For example, the 8” infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were only available on the EX trim level and above last year, but now they’re standard across the board. As for what’s new, the wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now featured on the EX-L and Touring trim levels, while Rear Seat Reminder has been added across the board and a Low Speed Braking Control system has been added to the higher trim levels.
Additionally, a new trim level has been added for the 2021 model year, replacing the previous EX 1.5T trim level. It’s called the Accord Sport Special Edition, or Sport SE, and it adds several features to the already impressive list of equipment that comes with the Sport 1.5T trim level. To name a few, it includes leather seats, heated mirrors, Smart Entry and much more.
